What We’re Loving Around the Triangle
This June

Concerts, festivals, summer nights, and reasons to fall in love with the Triangle all over again.

If there’s one thing the Triangle does well, it’s summer.

Patios are full, calendars start filling up, and suddenly there’s no shortage of reasons to get out of the house and enjoy where we live.

One of the things I love most about the Raleigh area is that there’s always something happening, and June might be one of the best months to take advantage of it.

Whether you love live music, food festivals, baseball nights, or simply trying something new, here are a few events worth adding to your calendar this month.

Hamilton at DPAC

Now through June 14 | Durham Performing Arts Center

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse for a night out, this might be it.

Hamilton is officially back at DPAC through June 14, and whether you’ve seen it before or have always wanted to, there’s something special about pairing dinner in Durham with a Broadway-level show.

A little dinner downtown, a great performance, maybe a nightcap afterward? Sounds like a pretty ideal Triangle evening to me.

Durham Bulls Baseball + Fireworks Nights

Throughout June | Durham Bulls Athletic Park

Summer and Durham Bulls games just go together.

Between the downtown Durham energy, classic ballpark food, and fireworks on select nights, it’s one of those experiences that somehow feels fun whether you’re a huge baseball fan or not.

A few fun home game stretches this month include:

  • June 10–15
  • June 24–29

(Pro tip: grab tickets for one of the fireworks nights if you can.)

North Carolina FC & Courage Matches

Multiple Dates in June | Cary

For sports fans, or anyone looking for a fun night out, June is packed with soccer matches in Cary.

North Carolina Courage and North Carolina FC home games continue throughout the month, bringing a fun atmosphere and a surprisingly great evening plan.

Even if soccer isn’t normally your thing, the energy is hard not to love.

Raleigh’s Juneteenth Celebration

June 14 | Dorothea Dix Park

One of Raleigh’s most meaningful annual community events, Juneteenth celebrations return this month with live music, food vendors, art, local businesses, and cultural programming.

Dorothea Dix Park makes a beautiful setting for spending part of the day outdoors while supporting local artists, makers, and performers.

Outdoor Movies & Summer Concert Series

Various Dates Throughout June | Raleigh, Cary, Durham + Wake Forest

This is the season for lawn chairs and blankets.

Communities across the Triangle are hosting:

  • Outdoor movie nights
  • Live music series
  • Concerts in parks
  • Evening community events

A few local favorites to watch for:

  • Midtown Beach Music Series in North Hills
  • Movies by Moonlight in Cary
  • Six Sundays in Spring concerts at Dix Park

Sometimes the best nights are the simple ones.

Raleigh Iron Works Makers Markets

Select Weekends in June | Raleigh Iron Works

If your ideal Saturday includes coffee in hand and wandering local vendors, this one is worth checking out.

Raleigh Iron Works continues hosting markets featuring local makers, artisan goods, food vendors, and live music throughout the month.

It’s also a great excuse to explore one of Raleigh’s newer gathering spaces if you haven’t yet.

Why I Love Sharing Things Like This

When people think about buying a home, they often focus on square footage, finishes, or price point.

And of course those things matter.

But what often matters just as much?

What life looks like outside your front door.

The concert you decide to go to on a whim.
The Saturday market that becomes your routine.
The favorite local spot you discover unexpectedly.

That’s the kind of thing that turns an address into home.

And honestly, it’s one of the reasons I love helping people not just find a house, but find the right place to build a life.

Final Thoughts

If your June calendar still feels a little empty, consider this your sign to make some plans.

Whether it’s Hamilton, a Bulls game, a summer concert, or simply spending more time exploring the Triangle, this is one of the best times of year to enjoy everything our area has to offer.

And if you’re thinking about making a move and want help finding the right fit for your lifestyle, I’d love to help.
