Friday Night on White 2025: The Heartbeat of Downtown Wake Forest

There’s nothing quite like the sound of live music echoing through downtown Wake Forest on a warm spring or summer night. If you’re lucky enough to call this charming town home—or even if you’re just visiting—Friday Night on White is one local tradition you won’t want to miss.

As a proud supporter of our community, I’m thrilled to share that Friday Night on White (FNOW) is back for its 2025 season, and it’s bigger and better than ever. This free outdoor concert series brings our streets to life with music, food, fun, and that special Wake Forest energy we all love.

🎶 A Season of Sounds You’ll Love

Held on the second Friday of each month from April through September, FNOW features high-energy party bands playing crowd favorites from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, plus pop, R&B, Top 40, Motown, and more. It’s the kind of music that gets you dancing—even if you swore you’d stay in your chair.

Here’s the 2025 lineup:

  • April 11Love Tribe

  • May 9Sleeping Booty Band

  • June 13Bounce Party Band

  • July 11The Band Punch

  • August 8The Brickhouse Band

  • September 12Liquid Pleasure

🎤 Music kicks off at 6:00 PM and wraps up at 9:00 PM, but the fun continues until 9:30 PM along South White Street.

🍕 Come Hungry (You Won’t Be Disappointed)

Each month, downtown restaurants open their doors and local food trucks line the streets offering everything from tacos and barbecue to lobster rolls and ice cream. Whether you’re a foodie or just craving a quick bite, there’s something for everyone—including dessert!

🍦 Bonus: Free mini water bottles will be available at the Hope Lutheran tent on Owen Ave while supplies last.

🍻 Sip, Stroll & Socialize

Beer and wine are available for purchase beginning at 5:00 PM—just make sure to leave your coolers and outside alcohol at home. Want to skip the beer line? You can buy tokens in advance at White Street Brewing or tickets at Norse Brewing, and redeem them at the event. Any extras? Use them later during regular business hours.

⌛ Last call for outside beer is at 8:50 PM, so don’t wait!

🚻 Restrooms, Parking & Getting Around

✅ Portable restrooms, including accessible units and changing stations, are located throughout the event area.
✅ Parking is free and available along nearby streets and lots—just double-check signage, as some lots are private.
✅ Using Uber or Lyft? Set your drop-off/pick-up location to Wake Forest Town Hall (301 S. Brooks St.)—a short walk from the festivities.

🧺 What to Bring (and What Not To)

✅ Lawn chairs & blankets (after 4:30 PM and placed in the street, not on sidewalks)
❌ Coolers or outside beverages
❌ Pets—we love them, but this one’s for people only

And if you’re bringing kids or teens, please keep an eye on them so everyone can enjoy the experience safely and respectfully.

🌦️ Weather Updates

Concerts happen rain or shine, but if severe weather is expected, updates will be posted on the Town’s website, Facebook, and the Wake Forest app. Safety comes first! (review the town’s weather policy here)

🏡 Why This Matters to Me

As a local real estate professional, FNOW is more than just a night of fun—it’s a reminder of why Wake Forest is such a special place to live. This community spirit, these shared memories, and the small-town magic are what make Wake Forest feel like home.

Whether you’re a long-time resident, new to the area, or just thinking about making a move—I hope to see you downtown this season. Let’s celebrate the rhythm of Wake Forest together.
