August Events In the Triangle 

August is creeping upon us which means more fun new events to experience this year! Check out all there is to do in the triangle this next month. 

Beer Bourbon and BBQ Festival
The 2022 Beer, Bourbon and BBQ festival is the epitome of a North Carolina southern festivity! The festival consists over 2 days featuring 40 different bourbons, 60 different beers, and BBQ cooked and smoked in a variety of ways! There are a ton of games and activities to keep everyone busy! The event runs August 5th-6th and tickets are on sale now and with each ticket purchase, you will receive a souvenir cup to enjoy the beer and bourbon tastings.  Enjoy the live music while you sip, taste and shop your way through the Koka Booth Amphitheater located in Cary at 8003 Regency Parkway. 

RaleighWRLD Festival
Mark your calendars for  August 6th! This festival for all ages is located in Raleigh at Dorothea Dix Park from 2:00-8:00 and tickets are $45 per person! Have a luxury picnic experience where you can pack your own or purchase a catered picnic while you sit and enjoy the live music performances! Listen in on a panel discussion from some of Raleigh’s best entrepreneurs and then listen to DJ’s go head to head to see who’s the best in the triangle! Lastly, listen to many live performances featuring some of the best talent in Raleigh!

Jazz Festival and Bookbag Drive
On August 28th from 2:00-6:00 in Dorothea Dix Park, you can enjoy live jazz music, food truck vendors, and prize giveaways!! Entry to get into this event is school supplies which will be donated to Foster Children in the Raleigh area!

Durham Bulls Games
Affiliated to the MLB Tampa Bay Rays, head out to downtown Durham to support our local minor league baseball team!

WWE Smackdown
The WWE is making its way to Raleigh! Happening August 12th at PNC Arena, you can experience an adrenaline rush at the most famous wrestling entertainment tour in the world! Tickets are on sale now!

Koka Booth Amphitheater
Located in Cary, Koka Booth is home to many live performances and events for everyone to enjoy! Take a look at some of the performances you can enjoy!

 

Nitro Circus
Nitro Circus is an action packed event featuring professionals performing all sorts of stunts on motor bikes. They are one of the most famous stunt-based performances and one of the few that features them on motor bikes. You can enjoy the show at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on August 15th. 

Friday Night on White
Join us in August for our monthly Friday Night on White! Enjoy live music from the Brickhouse Band from 6:00-9:00 on August 12th in downtown Wake Forest! The concert will begin at 6:00 and end at 9:00. All activities are taking place all down White Street in downtown Wake Forest. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Coolers and alcohol are prohibited, but there will be alcohol sales happening until 8:50pm. 

Wake Forest Comic-Con
Wake Forest Comic-Con showcases over 30 local artists and vendors. With different comics and characters, you can enjoy comics and collectibles new and old! This event is taking place downtown at the Renaissance Center August 20th at 10:00am. Tickets at $5!
