Six Sundays in Spring

After a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Wake Forest’s most popular town even known as Six Sundays in Spring is making its return! Check out this blog on what to expect this year!

Presented by ARTS Wake Forest, the kickoff to this year’s Six Sundays in Spring event will be happening April 24th at E. Carroll Joyner Park, located at 701 Harris Road in Wake Forest, from 5:30-7:30! On the first Sunday you’ll be able to enjoy the serene sights and sounds of Joyner Park while listening to a jazz performance by saxophonist, Marcus Anderson. The rest of the dates and performances are as follows:

May 1st, 2022: Pop/Rock Trio Big Bang Boom
May 8th, 2022: Latin Dance Music Experience by Orquesta Gardel
May 15th, 2022: Americana/Country Group Blue Cactus
May 22nd, 2022: Soul/Funk Group Liquid Pleasure
May 29th, 2022: Beach/Funk/Oldies North Tower Band

While attending Six Sundays in Spring, you will not only get to experience an incredible performance, but DELICIOUS food from different local food truck vendors! If you’re not feeling like eating from one of the vendors, bring a blanket, some lawn chairs, and make this a picnic experience for your family and friends! Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the park grounds.

Something new this year at the Six Sundays in Spring event is the mini art market happening! Many artists from the Wake Forest Guild of Artists will be at this event selling their art and a portion of the proceeds help support the Six Sundays in Spring event!
