March Events in the Triangle

A new month means new events! From celebrations to live music, check out all there is to do in the Triangle this upcoming March!

Frozen Jr at Heritage High School
Enjoy Frozen Jr as it comes to life right here in Wake Forest at Heritage High School. Everyone in your family will be mesmerized by the light show, amazing acting and breathtaking singing that these high school students display during another one of Heritage High School Theatre’s performances.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
St. Patrick’s Day is drawing near and there are so many events that you can visit this St. Patrick’s day! One of them being the annual St. Patrick’s day parade featuring fantastic floats, live performances, music, and more! You can visit the parade in Downtown Raleigh, March 12th at 10:00am beginning on Wilmington street. There is no admission cost for the parade!

 

Carolina Hurricanes Games
The Hurricanes are hot right now and the month of March is filled with so many home games located at PNC Arena!

Friday, March 4th– vs Pittsburgh at 7:00pm

Sunday, March 6th– vs Seattle at 7:00pm

Thursday, March 10th– vs Colorado at 7:00pm

Saturday, March 12th– vs Philadelphia at 3:00pm

Friday, March 18th–  vs Washington at 7:00pm

Sunday March 20th– vs New York Rangers at 6:00pm

Tuesday, March 22nd–  vs Tampa Bay at 7:00pm

Thursday March 24th– vs Dallas at 7:00pm

Wake Forest Film Festival
From March 4th-5th, you can experience the local film festival in Wake Forest! It includes the most promising, local, national, and international filmmakers with different varieties of film from documentary to comedy, to horror and romance. Price for admission is between $15-$25 and is being hosted at 405 South Brooks Street in Wake Forest.

 

Golden Mummies of Egypt
At the North Carolina Museum of Art, for a limited time only, starting on March 6th you can visit an incredible collection of 8 golden mummies and learn about the beliefs and afterlife of the era when Egypt was considered to be a part of the Roman world. Due to high participation demand, you must reserve your tickets online at a specific time to visit this exhibit.

 

Wake Forest Beer Tasting
Wake Forest Wine and Craft Beer is hosting a FREE EVENT!! On March 11th, from 6:00-9:00, you can enjoy music by Grace Lee, sip on some specialty craft wines and beer, shop at local pop-up shops, and more!!

 

Shamrock Search Scavenger Hunt
This fun and interactive St. Patrick’s Day event is happening March 13h from 2:00-5:00 in Raleigh, Knightdale, and Cary! This competitive scavenger hunt partnered up with 20 local businesses to host this event. In each city there are an unknown number of shamrocks posted on the windows of local businesses with a word. By foot and car, you must find all of these shamrocks, write down the word, come up with a phrase, and turn in the correct answer. The first, second, and third place winner will receive a prize pack of treats and products from the local businesses. The cost to participate is $15.

 

Triangle University Athletics
We are so lucky to have not one, not two, but THREE major universities here in the Triangle. With winter sports coming to a close and spring season starting up, this is a perfect time to get out, explore the universities and cities in the area, and support local athletics!
