Public Pools and Libraries in Wake Forest

There are so many ways you can spend your free time this upcoming summer! Whether you want to stay inside and beat the heat reading your favorite book or basking in the sun and have some poolside fun, Wake Forest has a few options for you! Check out these local libraries and local pool Wake Forest has to offer!

 

Wake Forest Community Library

Located right in downtown Wake Forest at 400 East Holding Avenue, is the Wake Forest Community Library. Here you can grab your favorite book or maybe try something new to spend time brushing up on your summer reading! Take a book to lounge by the pool with, read on the beach, or snuggle up inside on those cooler rainy days! You can visit the Wake Forest Community Library Monday-Thursday from 10:00-8:00, Friday-Saturday from 10:00-6:00, and Sunday from 1:00-5:00. 

 

Northeast Regional Library

Another library located right outside of Wake Forest is the Northeast Regional Library. Similar to the Wake Forest Community Library, the Northeast Regional Library offers an endless collection of books; classics, mystery, romance, and adventure. You name it and they have it! At the Northeast Regional Library they also offer printing, a storytime reading room, and public computers! You can visit this public library at 14401 Green Elm Lane Monday-Thursday from 10:00-8:00, Friday-Saturday from 10:00-6:00, and Sunday from 1:00-5:00. 

 

Holding Park Pool

Mark your calendars for May 29th! Holding Park Pool will be operating this summer on a stricter schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A maximum number of 160 participants are going to be allowed in the facility for each session. No walk-ins are allowed and all potential participants need to register and pay in advance online. All sessions are scheduled in 3-hour sessions with an hour in between each session for staff to sanitize the facility for the next session! Payment depends on age and if you’re a Wake Forest resident. For Wake Forest residents it’s its $1 for children ages 2 and under, $4 for children ages 3-13, $5 for ages 13-59, $4 for ages 60 and older. For non-residents it’s $2 for children ages 2 and under, $6 for children ages 3-13, $7 for ages 13-59, $6 for ages 60 and older. For more information about dates and reservations, visit their website!
