Celebrating Mardi Gras in Wake Forest, NC

The Town of Wake Forest always does a great job with their family-friendly Mardi Gras celebration held in the heart of Wake Forest. Complete with processional and street festival, this Mardi Gras celebration starts at 11am and continues until 3pm on South White Street in Downtown Wake Forest.

The street festival will include music, food trucks, entertainment, children’s activities, face painting and much more! Admission is free! There will also be contests for all ages. The processional, open for both kids and adults, will start on South Brooks Street. Get those creative juices flowing and be sure to come in costume! According to the Town of Wake Forest’s website:Prizes will be awarded for Best Decorated Vehicle (wagon, bicycle or stroller) and Most Festive Family.  A King and Queen will also be chosen based on their Mardi Gras themed attire and will join our presenting sponsors to lead the processional.

There are many crafts and events just for the kids as well, so be sure to bring the whole family!!
